Slide 1 — Welcome

Welcome! Today we explore the months of the year. There are 12 months, each with its own name, number of days, and seasons. Let’s learn them together!

Slide 2 — January to March

January starts the year with 31 days. February has 28 days, but 29 in a leap year. March has 31 days and often brings spring ideas to mind.

Slide 3 — April to June

April might bring rain. It has 30 days. May is 31 days and often full of flowers. June starts summer and also has 30 days.

July is hot and fun, with 31 days. August is the last of summer and also has 31 days.

September signals new school time. It has 30 days. October brings autumn leaves and has 31 days.

November often has cooler weather and 30 days. December ends the year with 31 days and brings holidays.

Slide 7 — Seasons and Months

Each month belongs to a season:冬 (winter) includes December, January, February; spring includes March, April, May; summer includes June, July, August; autumn includes September, October, November.

A simple way: First letters spell out: J F M A M J J A S O N D. Or hum the familiar rhyme to help recall the sequence.

Activity: Create a calendar strip with all 12 months. Color each season differently and practice saying the month in order aloud with a friend.
