Soy la parte de la CPU que realiza operaciones como sumar y comparar. No decido qué se debe hacer, solo ejecut rasgos de las instrucciones que me llegan y entrego resultados a quien corresponde. ¿Quién soy?

Pistas

Mi nombre se abrevia con tres letras: A-L-U.

Trabajo en conjunto con la unidad de control para ejecutar instrucciones.

Realizo operaciones aritméticas y lógicas.

En la CPU, guardo datos y coordino las operaciones sin moverme de mi sitio. Si la memoria falla, hay desorden; si este componente falla, todo se detiene. ¿Qué soy?

En muchos procesadores, se puede implementar como un conjunto de circuitos o mediante microprograma.

Mi función no es calcular, sino mandar señales y coordinar el flujo de información entre partes.

Piensa en alguien que da órdenes dentro de la CPU, no en quien hace los cálculos.
