En el sistema solar, cada objeto que gira alrededor del Sol parece obedecer una regla: si anoto el tiempo que tarda en completar una vuelta y lo relaciono con su distancia media al Sol, aparece una relación constante. ¿Qué regla, descubierta para explicar estas órbitas, describe que el cuadrado del periodo es proporcional al cubo de la distancia semieje de la órbita?

La clave está en una ley que vincula periodo y distancia de manera exponencial y constante entre planetas.

Considera una relación entre el tiempo que tarda en girar y la extensión de su órbita.

Piensa en cómo el tiempo de una vuelta (periodo) se compara con la distancia a la que está el objeto del centro de giro.
