El presente continuo se usa para hablar de acciones que suceden ahora o temporalmente.

Se forma con el verbo to be + el verbo principal con -ing.

2. Estructura básica

Sujeto + am/is/are + verbo con -ing.

Ejemplos: I am studying, you are reading.

3. Uso principal

Describe acciones en este momento, planes futuros cercanos o estados temporales.

Ejemplos: She is cooking now, They are visiting us this week.

4. Con I, you, we, they

Con I/you/we/they, usa am / are según corresponda.

Ejemplos: I am walking, they are watching TV.

5. Con he, she, it

Para he/she/it usamos is.

Ejemplos: he is studying, it is raining.

6. Contracciones en afirmativo

Formas cortas: I'm, you're, he's, she's, it's, we're, they're.

7. Verbos que terminan en -e

Antes de -ing, quitamos -e final cuando corresponde: make → making, move → moving.

8. Duplicación o cambio de consonante

Algunos verbos simples duplican la consonante final: run → running, sit → sitting.
