TIPOS DE REDES

Las redes informáticas son la infraestructura invisible que hace posible internet, el correo electrónico, el trabajo colaborativo en remoto y el intercambio de datos entre millones de dispositivos cada segundo. Sin ellas, la digitalización que caracteriza la actividad profesional y cotidiana actual no existiría tal y como la conocemos.

RED PAN (PERSONAL AREA NETWORCK)

Cubre un rango muy reducido (unos pocos metros). Ideal para conectar dispositivos personales como tu teléfono y auriculares mediante Bluetooth.

RED LAN

Conecta computadoras y dispositivos dentro de un área pequeña, como una casa, oficina o escuela. Si es por aire (Wi-Fi), se le conoce como WLAN.

RED MAN

 Abarca un área geográfica mayor, como una ciudad entera, conectando múltiples redes LAN entre sí a través de fibra óptica.

RED WAN

 Conecta equipos en áreas geográficas extensas, pudiendo abarcar países o continentes enteros. La red WAN más grande y conocida es el Internet.

IMPORTANCIA DE ESTAS REDES

Las redes son la infraestructura fundamental que sostiene la era digital. Su importancia radica en permitir la interconexión, la comunicación y el intercambio de recursos entre dispositivos. Dependiendo de su alcance, cada tipo de red cumple una función específica indispensable para el día a día.
