About this activity

Las aguas someras (generalmente entre 0 y 30 metros de profundidad) son hábitats de alta energía y gran biodiversidad. Al recibir abundante luz solar, permiten una intensa fotosíntesis que sostiene ecosistemas complejos como arrecifes de coral, manglares y praderas de pastos marinos.

Características clave del hábitat

Alta luminosidad: La luz penetra hasta el fondo, impulsando el crecimiento de plantas, algas y microalgas.

Temperaturas variables: Al ser masas de agua reducidas, son más susceptibles a los cambios térmicos según la estación.

Dinámicas fuertes: Reciben el impacto directo de las olas, corrientes y mareas, lo que oxigena constantemente el agua.
