Porción indefinida de plano limitada por dos líneas que parten de un mismo punto o por dos planos que parten de una misma línea y cuya abertura puede medirse en grados

Componentes del ángulo

Ángulo central

El ángulo central tiene su vértice en el centro de la circunferencia y sus lados son dos radios. 
La medida de un arco es la de su ángulo central correspondiente.

Ángulo inscrito

El ángulo inscrito tiene su vértice está en la circunferencia y sus lados son secantes a ella. 
Mide la mitad del arco que abarca.

Resolución de ejercicios

Para obtener el ángulo central de la imagen que se muestra es multiplicando el ángulo inscrito por dos, para que se cumpla la regla que el ángulo central es la mitad del ángulo inscrito. Para obtener el ángulo inscrito  a partir de un ángulo central es dividiendo entre dos el valor del ángulo.
