Objetivo de la lección

Hoy aprenderemos a realizar restas simples con números naturales. Usaremos imágenes y números para entender que restar significa quitar o quitarse partes de un todo.

Qué es la resta

La resta es una operación que descubre cuántos quedan al quitar una cantidad de otra. Se representa como minuendo − sustraendo = diferencia.

Representación visual

Utilizaremos objetos cotidianos: fichas, lápices o dibujos para visualizar la idea de quitar y encontrar la diferencia.

Ejemplo sencillo 1

Si tienes 8 manzanas y comes 3, ¿cuántas quedan? 8 − 3 = 5.

Ejemplo sencillo 2

En una caja hay 10 caramelos. Si repartimos 4 entre amigos, quedan 10 − 4 = 6 caramelos.

Estrategia 1: contando atrás

Contar hacia atrás desde el número mayor hasta restar. Por ejemplo, 7 − 2: 7, 6, 5, quedan 5.

Estrategia 2: usando la resta con dibujos

Dibuja objetos y quita los que se restan. La cantidad restante es la diferencia.

Propósito y práctica

Practica con diferentes números naturales. Asegúrate de que el resultado tenga sentido en la vida cotidiana.

Errores comunes

No confundir la diferencia con la resta de otros números. Revisa que restaste el minuendo correcto.

Actividad final

Completa 5 problemas simples y dibuja un diagrama de barras para mostrar la cantidad restada y la diferencia.
