Introducción a la suma

La suma es el total de dos o más cantidades. Cuando juntamos objetos, contamos juntos para obtener la cantidad total.

Qué es la resta

La resta representa la pérdida de elementos en una colección. Al quitar objetos, queda una cantidad menor que la inicial.

Ejemplo con objetos

Tienes 3 manzanas y te regalan 2 más. ¿Cuántas tienes en total? 3 + 2 = 5.

Otro ejemplo de resta

Si tienes 5 figuras y pierdes 2, ¿cuántas te quedan? 5 − 2 = 3.

Comparar cantidades

Comparar significa ver cuál cantidad es mayor, menor o igual. ¿Quién tiene más piezas: 4 o 7?

Completar una suma

Completa la suma con el número que falta. 2 + ? = 6 → ? = 4.

Completar una resta

Completa la resta con el número que falta. 9 − ? = 5 → ? = 4.

Juntar dos grupos

Juntamos dos grupos y contamos juntos hasta obtener el total. Esto facilita entender 1+1=2 y más.

Usa objetos pequeños para sumar y restar. Repite con diferentes números para afianzar la idea.
