La Ley de Ohm describe la relación entre voltaje, corriente y resistencia en un conductor. Es fundamental en circuitos eléctricos simples.

2. Definición formal

V = I · R, donde V es voltaje, I corriente y R resistencia; un conductor ideal mantiene la proporcionalidad lineal.

3. Fórmulas equivalentes

I = V / R y R = V / I; permiten determinar cualquiera de las magnitudes si las otras dos se conocen.

4. Unidades

Unidades: voltio (V), amperio (A) y ohmio (Ω). Un Ohmio genera 1 V con 1 A en condiciones ideales.

5. Relación entre magnitudes

Incrementar V con R constante aumenta la corriente; si R aumenta, la corriente disminuye.

6. Potencia eléctrica

P = V · I = I²R = V² / R; estas fórmulas conectan Ohm con el consumo de energía en un circuito.

Con V = 9 V y R = 3 Ω, I = 3 A y P = 27 W.

Resistencias en serie: R total = R1 + R2 + …; la corriente es la misma en todo el circuito.

Resistencias en paralelo: 1/R total = 1/R1 + 1/R2 + …; el voltaje es el mismo en todas las ramas.

La Ley de Ohm asume conductores lineales y temperatura constante; algunos materiales no obedecen V ∝ I.
