Verde por fuera y blanco por dentro, oculto en la cocina o entre las hojas. ¿Qué seré?

A veces mi cáscara es verde cuando soy joven; mi interior es la parte comestible y suave que muchos beben y comen.

Dentro me encuentro una pulpa blanca y agua dulce.

Tengo una cáscara gruesa y externa.

Verde por fuera, rojo por dentro. Mi pulpa es dulce y jugosa, y suele comerse en verano en rebanadas. ¿Qué soy?
