No persigo al que corre, ni interrogo al que grita. Me interesa más el motivo que la herida, más el patrón que la excepción. Cuando alguien cruza una línea, yo pregunto qué había antes de ella. No necesito una pistola para encontrar una respuesta, porque mi verdadero escenario está en la conducta humana.

No tengo voz, pero puedo contradecir a un testigo. No tengo memoria, pero puedo contar cuándo ocurrió algo. No acuso. No defiendo. No dicto sentencia. Examino aquello que quedó cuando la historia terminó.

Tengo una balanza que jamás necesita saber cuánto pesa una persona. Tengo reglas que pueden proteger o limitar. Puedo defender a quien todos señalan y cuestionar a quien todos creen inocente. No necesito descubrir quién tiene la razón por intuición. Necesito demostrar qué corresponde según unas reglas que fueron escritas antes de que llegara el problema.

Tengo un laboratorio sin batas, cuchillos que no buscan culpables y sustancias que desaparecen después de ser transformadas. Una pizca puede cambiar una historia. Demasiado de algo puede arruinarla. Trabajo con temperatura, tiempo, textura y proporciones. Y aunque mi resultado desaparece en cuestión de minutos, puedo pasar horas construyéndolo.
