Durante buena parte del siglo III antes de Cristo dos grandes potencias, Roma y Cartago, luchan por el control del Mediterráneo. A lo largo del siglo tienen lugar tres grandes guerras entre ellos, conocidas como las GUERRAS PÚNICAS, y fue durante la segunda de ellas cuando los romanos invadieron lo que hoy conocemos como España.
