Se usan para medir el espacio ocupado por los objetos que tienen tres dimensiones (ancho, largo y alto). La unidad básica es el metro cúbico, que equivale al volumen de un cubo que tiene un metro de ancho por un metro de largo por un metro de alto.

Convertir las siguientes medidas longitudinales:

 20,300 cm3 a dm3: = 20,300/1000= 0,0203 dm3

 45 km3   a hm3: = 45x1000 =45000 hm3

 140 dam3 a dm3: = 140x1000000 =140000000 dm3

3,40hm3 a m3: = 3,40x1000000 = 3400000 m3
