Élu député d'Arras aux Etats Généraux...

... je participe au serment du Jeu de paume et aux débats de la Constituante.

Je vote la mort du roi puis à la tête du Comité de Salut Public impose la Terreur....

...afin de lutter contre les ennemis de la Révolution.

Je me heurte alors à Danton que je fais guillotiner par le Tribunal révolutionnaire....

...puis désormais maître de la Convention je poursuis la Terreur.

De plus en plus isolé, les députés se révoltent et me condamnent à l'échafaud.

Surnommé "l'incorruptible", je suis exécuté sans procès le 9 Thermidor an II.
