SOLISTA

Cuando la música es interpretada sólo por un instrumento, se denomina SOLISTA.

DÚO

QR

Cuando son dos los músicos que están tocando, se denomina DÚO. A veces pueden ser el mismo instrumento o diferente. En este caso son dos guitarras.

TRÍO

Cuando son tres los músicos que tocan, se denomina TRÍO. Este es un trío muy habitual: piano, flauta travesera y violín.

CUARTETO

Cuando cuatro músicos tocan juntos, se denomina CUARTETO. El más habitual está formado por 2 violines, 1 viola y un violonchelo.

QUINTETO

QR

Cuando tocan 5 músicos juntos, entonces se denomina QUINTETO. A veces el quinteto puede estar formado sólo por instrumentos de cuerda o sólo por instrumentos de viento. El ejemplo que vais a escuchar es de este último grupo.

SEXTETO, SEPTETO, OCTETO

Siguiendo este criterio, cuando sean 6 los que tocan se llamará SEXTETO, cuando sean 7 SEPTETO y cuando sean 8 OCTETO. Adivina cómo se llama esta agrupación.

ORQUESTA DE CÁMARA

Cuando el número de músicos que tocan es pequeño, pero pasa de 9 personas, se denomina ORQUESTA DE CÁMARA.

El nombre de cámara procede de que antiguamente los músicos daban conciertos en los salones pequeños de los palacios. Y esos salones pequeños se llamaban cámaras.

ORQUESTA SINFÓNICA

Cuando una orquesta es muy numerosa, se le denomina ORQUESTA SINFÓNICA. Está formada por más de 80 músicos y se compone de instrumentos de las 3 familias: cuerda, viento y percusión.

Aunque a veces también se puede "colar" algún objeto como instrumento...como en este concierto...¡que se ha incluido una máquina de escribir antigua!
