SOLISTA, DÚO, TRÍO

Al igual que hemos visto con los instrumentos, a las agrupaciones de voces también se les denomina por el número de cantantes:  si canta una persona será SOLISTA, si cantan dos será DÚO, si cantan tres será TRÍO...etc

En el ejemplo tenemos un quinteto de voces.

CORO DE CÁMARA

A partir de 9 cantantes y siempre que sea un número pequeño,  se le denominará CORO DE CÁMARA.

Lo mismo que una orquesta es un conjunto de músicos tocando, el coro es un conjunto de voces cantando.

CORO SINFÓNICO O CORAL

Cuando hay muchas personas cantando, se llamará CORO SINFÓNICO o CORAL.

ESCOLANÍA

Si el coro está formado únicamente por voces infantiles o blancas, se llama ESCOLANÍA.

Si nos juntáramos los niños del cole para formar un coro, sería una escolanía porque nuestras voces están aún sin terminar de formar.

AGRUPACIÓN MIXTA

A veces los coros cantan "a capella", es decir, sólo hay voces.

Pero otras veces se acompañan de instrumentos. Cuando sucede esto se le denomina que es una AGRUPACIÓN MIXTA (de voces e instrumentos).
