¿Como son los reptiles?

Un reptil es un animal vertebrado que carece de patas o que las tiene muy cortas, por lo que, al caminar, roza el suelo con su vientre.

Caracteristicas

  • Son vertebrados terrestres, con el cuerpo generalmente cubierto de escamas.
  •  Tienen extremidades cortas y laterales o carecen de ellas.
  •  Tienen la piel cubierta de escamas, escudos o placas córneas.
  •  Son de sangre fría y pasan el invierno aletargados.
  • Tienen respiración pulmonar y cutánea (piel).

¿Qué comen y cómo viven los reptiles?

Los reptiles respiran con los pulmones. La mayoría de las especies de reptiles comen otros animales, y la mayoría pone huevos en tierra para reproducirse. Los reptiles vivos hoy incluyen lagartos, serpientes, tortugas, tortugas, cocodrilos y caimanes.
