What are population pyramids?

Population pyramids are graphical illustrations that shows the distribution of various age groups in a population.

Population Pyramid distribution by sex

The info shown in a population pyramid is horizontally divided by sex in two colums.

One of this column will show the details of male group of population and the other one will shown the details of the female group of population

Vertically, each section will englobe an slice of age, going from the youngest portion of population - at the bottom of the pyramid -  to the oldies ones - positioned at the top.
