About this activity

El Día Europeo de las Lenguas, que se celebra el día 26 de septiembre, es una iniciativa nacida en 2001 de la mano de la Comisión Europea y del Consejo de Europa, que representa a 800 millones de ciudadanos de 47 países. Tiene lugar cada año como homenaje a la diversidad lingüística de un continente, Europa, con más de 200 lenguas propias, en el que la UE posee 24 lenguas oficiales y donde hay unas 60 lenguas regionales o minoritarias y en el que se hablan muchos idiomas más procedentes de otras partes del mundo.

Los objetivos principales del Día son:
• concienciar sobre la importancia de aprender idiomas;
• promover la rica diversidad lingüística y cultural de Europa;
• fomentar un aprendizaje de idiomas de por vida dentro y fuera de la escuela.

Para celebrar este día hemos desarrollado un DESAFÍO LINGUÍSTICO y CULTURAL en el que cada uno debe mostrar sus conocimientos o su rapidez en buscar información sobre los países socios de nuestro proyecto Erasmus y sobre las lenguas que se estudian en nuestro centro educativo.
