La miosina, una proteína motora fibrosa, es de vital importancia para la contracción muscular, interactuando con la actina en un ciclo impulsado por ATP, mientras que la hemoglobina, una proteína globular presente en los glóbulos rojos, transporta oxígeno desde los pulmones a los tejidos gracias a su grupo hemo con hierro, y también participa en el transporte de dióxido de carbono.
