About this activity
Cada elemento tiene un espectro de emisión diferente debido a su estructura atómica única. Los átomos de diferentes elementos tienen diferentes configuraciones de electrones y niveles de energía. Cuando un átomo absorbe energía (por ejemplo, a través de calor, electricidad o radiación), sus electrones pueden ser excitados a niveles de energía más altos. Cuando los electrones vuelven a sus niveles de energía originales, liberan esa energía en forma de luz, lo que produce el espectro de emisión.
