A noun's primary function is naming words, referring to people, places, things, or ideas.

A compound sentence comprises at least two independent clauses joined together by a coordinating conjunction (FANBOYS: for, and, nor, but, or, yet, so) and a comma, or by a semicolon.

An adjective modifies a noun. Example: Beautiful, pretty, small, big, or tall.

A verb is a word that expresses an action, state of being, or occurences within a sentence.

An adverb modifies a verb, an adjective, another adverb, or even a whole sentence. It provides additional information about how, when, where, or to what extent something is done. Adverbs often end in "-ly," but not always.

"Their" is a possessive pronoun, meaning "belonging to them." It indicates that something is owned or related to a group of people. It's used before a noun to show possession, similar to "his," "her," or "its," but for plural subjects.

A preposition is a word that connects nouns, pronouns, or noun phrases to other words in a sentence, showing a relationship of time, location, or direction.

Conjunctions are words that connect words, phrases, or clauses within a sentence. They help to show relationships between different parts of a sentence, making it more complex and coherent.

In a passive voice sentence, the subject is at the end and the object is at the beginning of the sentence, opposite to the active voice.
