Feedback

Every affirmative sentence starts with a capital letter and ends with a full stop. Example: The sun is shining.

A question mark is used at the end of a question. Example: Are you ready to go?

An exclamation mark shows surprise or strong feeling. Example: What a beautiful day!

A comma separates items in a list. Example: I packed a shirt, trousers and shoes.

An apostrophe replaces missing letters in contractions and shows possession. Examples: 1. It’s time to go. (Contraction: It is time to go.) 2. Stella's bag is on the table. (Possession)

We use a comma after introductory words like 'suddenly', 'finally', or 'slowly'. Example: Finally, the rain stopped.

Use an apostrophe + s to show something belongs to someone. Example: The baby’s toy is soft.

Use inverted commas to show the speaker’s exact words and a comma before the quote. Example: Ben said, “Let’s play outside.”

Place a comma before the person’s name when speaking directly to them. Example: Leena, please help me.

Use commas to separate parts of an address in a sentence. Example: My aunt lives at 10 Palm Street, Quatre Bornes.
