About this activity

Read and choose the correct option.

Right now, many people are busy with their jobs in the city.
Anna is working as a nurse in the hospital. She is helping patients and talking to doctors about medicines. At the same time, her friend Tom is teaching mathematics in a secondary school. He is explaining a difficult exercise to his students, and they are listening carefully.

In another part of town, David is cooking in a restaurant. He is preparing pasta and cutting vegetables because many customers are arriving for lunch. Meanwhile, his colleague Sara is serving food and bringing drinks to the tables.

Outside, on the street, a police officer is checking the traffic. She is controlling the cars and speaking with drivers. Not far from her, a bus driver is transporting children to school. The kids are laughing and singing while the driver is concentrating on the road.

At the same time, in a small office, Lisa is answering phone calls and writing emails. She is working as a secretary and helping her manager with the computer.

Everybody is doing something different, but all of them are important for the community. People are working hard and giving their best at the moment.
