👉 Filtration helps take out dust, sand, and other solid particles so water becomes cleaner.

👉 Sand is a natural filter. It traps dirt when water passes through it.

👉 Boiling makes water hot enough to kill harmful germs that can make us sick.

👉 Pond water often has mud, waste, and tiny organisms that can cause illness.

👉 Each layer removes different sizes of dirt. Gravel catches big pieces, sand catches smaller ones.

👉 Filters catch mud and dust, but germs are too small. Boiling is needed to kill them.

👉 Boiling kills germs, but very hot water can burn the mouth, so it should cool down first.
