El poema es un vibrante retrato de la Sierra ecuatoriana, que captura el alma, las costumbres y la rica diversidad cultural de la región. A través de léxico regional como "achachay" y referencias a tradiciones como el trueque y el sanjuanito, fortalece la identidad lingüística de su gente. Su propósito es promover en los estudiantes el reconocimiento y la valoración de la herencia y las expresiones propias del territorio andino.
