إذا تقاطع وتران داخل دائرة، فإن حاصل ضرب طولي قطعتي الوتر الأول يساوي

في الشكل المقابل، إذا كان أس= 6سم ، ب س= 4سم، ج س= 3سم ، فإن طول د س تساوي

يريد محمد تقسيم عصا طولها 12 سم إلى قسمين بحيث حاصل ضرب طوليهما يساوي 32. إذا مثلنا العصا كوتر في دائرة، ونقطة التقسم كنقطة تقاطع وتر آخر، فما طول كل جزء في العصا؟

إذا كبرنا الدائرة (بتكبير نصف قطرها)، ولكن النقط أ، ب، ج، د لا تزال داخل الدائرة وبنفس الترتيب، فماذا يحدث للمساواة أ س × ب س = ج س × د س
