En la comunidad de San Andrés, en el sur de México, se abrió una escuela secundaria que atiende tanto a estudiantes hablantes de español como a hablantes de lengua tzeltal. Durante años, los estudiantes indígenas habían tenido dificultades para adaptarse al sistema educativo porque todo se enseñaba en español, lo que provocaba que muchos abandonaran la escuela.

En la ciudad de Monterrey, el barrio “La Esperanza” se ha vuelto muy diverso debido a la llegada de familias de distintos países: Honduras, Venezuela, Haití y Guatemala, además de los residentes mexicanos.

Una cooperativa de mujeres zapotecas trabaja junto con jóvenes diseñadores urbanos para crear productos artesanales que combinen técnicas tradicionales y diseños modernos.
