"Despite" significa "A pesar de", por lo que sirve para hacer un contraste entre la falta de altura y lo alto que puede saltar. "In addition to" y "Moreover" se utilizan para añadir información, algo que no tiene sentido en este caso. Por último, si bien "However" también añade un contraste, suele emplearse después de algo ya dicho, como es el caso de "sin embargo" en español.

"Besides" es la única respuesta correcta ya que es la única (con sentido) que aporta información a la oración. A la frase inicial, este conector le añade contenido nuevo. "Nonetheless" y "Although" se utilizan para realizar un contraste, lo que le restaría sentido a la frase. Por último, "In addition to" no puede ir por falta de algo que le siga.

"However" es la única respuesta posible ya que presenta un claro contraste entre la brillantez de Sherlock y el hecho de que Irene Adler fue capaz de ganarle en una batalla de intelecto.

En este caso, "In addition to" es la única opción posible ya que el sentido de la frase completa es que "además de ser acusada de soborno (no a mayores, que es un calco incorrecto del gallego), también se le acusa de haber ido más rápido con el coche de lo que debía".

"Although" se emplea como "a pesar de" en castellano. Se usa para mostrar contraste entre la sensación de que algo raro pasa en la casa de los Usher y la imposibilidad de determinar qué es exactamente.

Esta última frase presenta dos opciones correctas "even" y "also". Ambas (junto con "and") se traducen por "e incluso", por lo que tenéis dos conectores para añadir información (sin contar "and") por el precio de uno :)
