Feedback

Simple present for habitual actions.

Present progressive uses is/are + -ing.

Tag uses auxiliary of main verb.

The main sentence uses the verb is (is singing). Therefore, the tag must also use the verb to be.

Present progressive = am/is/are + verb-ing.

Facts use simple present.

Tag with appropriate auxiliary.

Present simple for regular actions; subject-verb agreement.

General truth or habitual action.

Do + base verb forms a question in present simple.

The golden rule of Tag Questions is the Rule of Opposites. This means the "tag" (the short question at the end) must have the opposite polarity of the main statement to create a balanced question.

Stative Verbs refer to a state of being rather than a physical action. Common examples include:

In English, the third person singular (He, She, It) is the only group that requires a change to the base verb in the Simple Present.

At the moment / Now / Right now: These indicate that the action is currently in progress.

If there is no "am/is/are" in the main sentence, you "borrow" do or does for the tag.
