It mainly affects women over 50.

A GP would initially examine and refer to a specialist but would not diagnose after only a physical examination.

Whilst some women chose to have breast augmentation after they are cancer free this is not a treatment

It can be used before to reduce the tumour size and used after to reduce the risk of reoccurrence.

This is as they have no receptors for hormones therefore no benefit from endocrine or targeted drugs.

Trazstuzumab is used in targeted therapies not endocrine :)

Patients with history of breast cancer in family will be offered screening earlier than 50.
