توضيح: الفعل الصحيح هو الذي لا يحوى حروفه الأصلية تغيراً عند التصريف.

شرب من الأفعال التي لا تحتوي على همز أو ياء أو ألف مقصودة في جذرها.

الأفعال المعتلة تحتوي على حرف علة في جذرها مثل كُتِبَ، أكلَ.

الفعل المعتل قد يتصل به زوائد أو تزيد حروفه.

التمييز الأساسي: زيادة تغيّر الحروف في المعتل مقابل ثبات الأصل في الصحيح.

أخذ ليس فيه همزة ابتدائية، بينما أمثلة مثل أخذ قد تتغير حسب المصدر.

ميزة الأسس: يبقى أصل الحروف ثابتاً.

المعتل يتضمن حرف علة مثل قال.

المعتل يمتاز بوجود حروف علة في جذره.

التفسير: سالم يعني ثابت في جذره عند التصريف.
