Add the prices (4.50+0.75=5.25) and subtract from 6.

Total = 7.50; change = 8-7.50 = 0.50.

Spent = 3.25+2.75 = 6; 12-6 = 6.

Spent = 4+5 = 9; 15-9 = 6.
