Las Formas son entidades inmutables y perfectas existentes en un mundo inteligible, distinto del mundo sensible.

La anamnesis sugiere que el conocimiento es reminiscencia del alma inmortal que recuerda las Formas.

Aristóteles propone las cuatro causas para explicar cualquier fenómeno: materia, forma, agente y fin.

La hilemorfía establece que la sustancia es materia (hyle) con forma (morphe).

Aristóteles propone alma tripartita: vegetativa, sensitiva y racional, integrándose con el cuerpo.

El saber verdadero requiere contemplación y razón, no solo experiencia sensorial.
