الوسائط المتعددة تجمع عناصر وسائط مختلفة في وحدة واحدة.

كل نقطة في الصورة تُسمى بكسل وتكوّن الصورة.

JPEG مخصص لصور الشخصية والطبيعية ويُضبط حجم الملف مع الحفاظ على جودة مقبولة.

تقاس التفاصيل بوحدة البكسل في البوصة.

البكسل هو أصغر وحدة تشكّل الصورة.

RGB عادةً يُمثّل كل بكسل بـ 24 بت (8 بت لكل لون).

White/Black يَمثّله بكسل واحد فقط ببت واحد.

الصور الرسومية (Vector) تحتفظ بالدقة عند تكبيرها أو تصغيرها.
