Explicación

El korfball se originó a inicios del siglo XX en los Países Bajos, alrededor de 1902.

El korfball promueve igualdad de género y roles entre ataque y defensa con marcaje específico.

Un equipo tipicamente está formado por 8 jugadores (4 de cada sexo en la forma mixta).

El korf es la canasta (estructura con un aro) por donde se anota.

El punto se anota al hacer entrar el balón en el korf del adversario.

En korfball se prioriza pases y acciones de equipo sin driblar como en baloncesto.

La defensa puede ser zonal o mixta, manteniendo coordinación entre géneros en ciertas formaciones.

Los equipos alternan roles entre ataque y defensa según la posesión.

Se valora la coordinación, precisión de pase y movilidad; no se basa en conducir drásticamente.

Cada equipo defiende su korf y ataca el del oponente para encestar.
