El VIH es un virus que ataca las defensas del cuerpo.

Las vías principales son sexual, sanguínea y de madre a hijo. Otros escenarios no transmiten normalmente.

El VIH no se transmite por compartir utensilios, alimentos o taza.

Con TARV adecuado, la carga viral puede volverse indetectable, reduciendo transmisión.

El TARV controla el VIH reduciendo la cantidad en sangre.
