Pearson cuantifica cuán fuerte y en qué dirección se relaciona linealmente X con Y; no implica causalidad.

r ∈ [-1,1]. Valores cercanos a ±1 indican relación lineal fuerte; cerca de 0, ausencia de relación lineal.

Spearman se basa en rangos y no asume linealidad ni normalidad.

Un r cercano a 0 sugiere ausencia de relación lineal, no necesariamente de relación no lineal.

Outliers pueden inflar o defl actuar la estimación de r y sesgar resultados.

La correlación no prueba causalidad; se requieren pruebas o diseños específicos.
