Explicació

Un acord és tres notes que sonen juntes i generalment formen una tercera entre elles.

Una tercera és un interval entre dues notes que ocupa tres graus de l’escala, comptant la primera i l’última nota. Per exemple, entre sol i si hi trobem sol, la i si.

L'acord s' brinda afegint terceres successives, començant per la primera tercera.

Les tres notes clau són la fonamental, la tercera i la cinquena.

Els majors acostumen a sonar brillants i alegres.

Els menors tendeixen a sonar més tristos o apagats.

Les escalas en la teoria tradicional tenen vuit graus.

Cada grau és un pas de l'escala: primer, segon, tercer, etc.

Les funcions tonals són graus amb importància estable que creen sensacions sonores específiques.

La tònica aporta sensació de finalitat i resolució.
