Explicación

El SIDA es la etapa avanzada de la infección por VIH, cuando el sistema inmune está gravemente debilitado.

La prevención es necesaria para cualquier persona en riesgo por comportamientos sexuales o intercambio de agujas.

El uso de preservativos y prácticas seguras reducen significativamente el riesgo.

El VIH se transmite por fluidos corporales (se contagia exclusivamente a través de ciertos líquidos corporales: sangre, semen, líquido preseminal, secreciones rectales, secreciones vaginales y leche materna) y no por vías como saliva o contacto casual o FLUIDOS CON MEZCLADOS CON SANGRE

Los antibióticos no curan el VIH; el tratamiento antirretroviral es necesario de por vida.

La ART reduce la carga viral y protege el sistema inmune, permitiendo una vida normal, Combina múltiples medicamentos que impiden que el virus se reproduzca. Aunque no cura la infección, reduce la carga viral a niveles indetectables, lo que evita la transmisión sexual del virus y preserva el sistema inmunológico.
