Explicación

Un diptongo combina dos vocales en una sola sílaba.

Diptongo puro = dos vocales en una sílaba sin separarse.

Hiato: vocales en sílabas distintas, a veces por acento.

En arrobo, la separación ocurre entre sílabas distintas; no hay hiato entre a y r.

Triptongo = tres vocales en una misma sílaba.

Ejemplo de triptongo: cuan-güe-nía (tres vocales en una sílaba). Nota: uso de tilde y palabras.

Tierra contiene diptongo ti-e-rra, dos vocales en una sílaba.

Aéreo tiene hiato entre a y é al separarse en sílabas.
