For short one-syllable adjectives, add -er to form the comparative.

For short adjectives, add -est to form the superlative.

‘Better’ is the irregular comparative of good.

Use most + adjective for multisyllabic words.

Two-syllable adjectives often take -ier; 'happier' is correct.

For easy, the standard is easiest.

Add -er for the comparative of one-syllable adjectives.

Small -> smallest uses -est.

Multisyllabic adjectives use 'more' for comparison.
