يستخدم لم مع فعل في الماضي.

المعنى مستقبلي مستمر؛ النفي المتوقع.

استخدام لن مع فعل المضارع للدلالة على عدم العمل مستقبلاً.

لم يرد النفي في زمن الماضي.

الماضي يعطي لم؛ العبارة الصحيحة تعتمد على زمن الفعل.

لن تعبر عن نفي للمستقبل.

لم يعبر عن الماضي.

الاستخدام الصحيح يعتمد على زمن الفعل.
