Uitleg

Water bestaat uit twee waterstofatomen en één zuurstofatoom: H2O.

Zuiver (distillaat) water geleidt elektriciteit nauwelijks.

De binding binnen H2O is covalent tussen H en O; waterstofbruggen komen later.

Bij 1 atm kookt water bij 100°C.

Water bij puur water heeft doorgaans pH dicht bij 7.
