Explicación

Un conjunto es una colección de objetos bien definidos, llamados elementos.

La unión incluye todo elemento que pertenece a A, a B o a ambos.

La intersección recoge los elementos que están en ambos conjuntos.

El complemento de A son los elementos que no pertenecen a A dentro del universo considerado.

Un subconjunto contiene únicamente elementos también presentes en el conjunto mayor.

|A| es la cardinalidad: cuántos elementos tiene A.

Con conjuntos disjuntos, la intersección es el conjunto vacío.
