Explicación

El cuerpo de Ötzi (alpinista) muestra tatuajes datados en la Edad del Bronce, mucho antes de otros estilos. Las otras culturas tenían tatuajes más tardíos o diferentes contextos.

Irezumi es el tatuaje japonés tradicional, conocido por sus grandes diseños; Tatau es polinesio, Moko maorí, Sak Yant budista.

Se han hallado tatuajes en momias egipcias de hace miles de años, anteriores a muchos estilos modernos.
