Explicación

La URSS atravesaba una fuerte crisis económica debido a la ineficiencia de su economía centralizada, una poca modernización y desgaste por la carrera armamentista. Gorbachov impulsó la Perestroika para reestructurar y flexibilizar la economía, buscando hacerla más eficiente y superar esa crisis.

La Perestroika ("reestructuración") fue la reforma económica impulsada por Gorbachov, que buscaba flexibilizar la economía centralizada soviética e introducir ciertos elementos de mercado para mejorar su eficiencia.

El Glasnost ("transparencia") fue la reforma política e informativa impulsada por Gorbachov, que buscaba mayor apertura, libertad de expresión y menos censura dentro de la URSS.

Antes de las reformas, la economía soviética era centralizada y planificada por el Estado, que decidía qué y cuánto producir, sin espacio para el libre mercado ni la iniciativa privada.

El Glasnost fue la reforma impulsada por Gorbachov orientada a la apertura informativa y política, reduciendo la censura y permitiendo mayor libertad de expresión en la URSS.

Glasnost es un término ruso que significa "transparencia" o "apertura", y hace referencia a la reforma de Gorbachov que buscaba mayor libertad de información y expresión pública.
