Qolqalah adalah gemerincing bunyi pada huruf mati saat bertemu suara kuat.

Memahami qolqalah menjaga keaslian bacaan dan makna karena huruf mati diperlakukan tepat.

Qolqalah sa’irah mencakup lima huruf: ب,ج,ق,ك,د saat mati bertemu bunyi kuat.

Kalau huruf qalqalah pada qaf mati bertemu bunyi kuat, qolqalah berlaku.

Qolqalah kubra lebih menonjol dibanding qolqalah sogra saat bunyi muncul.
