Move over = dịch sang một bên để nhường chỗ. Không dùng move away vì cụm này thường có nghĩa là rời đi hoặc chuyển đến nơi khác.

Open up = mở ra, trở nên rộng và dễ nhìn thấy hơn. Trong câu này, thung lũng dần hiện ra trước mắt người quan sát.

Set up home = lập gia đình hoặc bắt đầu sinh sống tại một nơi. Phân biệt: set off = khởi hành; set out = bắt đầu hành trình hoặc trình bày

Stick out = nhô ra ngoài một bề mặt hoặc cạnh. Phân biệt: stick up thường mang nghĩa hướng thẳng lên hoặc chĩa lên.

Stop off = ghé lại một nơi trong thời gian ngắn trên đường đi đến nơi khác. Stop by cũng có nghĩa “ghé qua”, nhưng stop off nhấn mạnh đây là điểm dừng giữa hành trình.

Stand out against a background = nổi bật trên một phông nền tương phản. Stand out from thường dùng khi một người hoặc vật nổi bật so với những người hoặc vật khác.
